Southwest Dreamscapes, a Magical Curation
This month we created a new feature here at The HeArt Box, a curated collection. Partnering artist, Jessica Worthington of J Majella jewelry, curated the collection of dreamy landscapes, vibrant flora & fauna
infused with desert magic. Shades of pinks and greens, beautiful abstract shapes adding intrigue to this sweet little collection. Featured artists within this collection are Melanie Nicole, Landry McMeans, Linden Eller, Jill Sans, Lauren Sarantopulos, Rick Kinkel and Wesley Barron.
We love curation here at The HeArt Box and think of this gallery as a curated space so it is exciting to bring about another aspect of this.

We got ask Jessica a few questions about her style and inspiration for this collection.
What does curation mean to you?
Curation to me is finding and making connections with different, sometimes seemingly unrelatable things.
What does southwest dreamscapes mean to you?
Southwest Dreamscapes is about capturing a moment that feels a little cheerful, a little nostalgic, and a little otherworldly.
Describe what gallery style hanging is, why did you choose this hanging. How can this be of benefit in a space, used at home? What does space mean to you, home, work?
Gallery hanging to me can be a bit too formal and static. I chose a more animated way to hang the Southwest Dreamscapes collection so that it would feel more like what would be in someone's home. I wanted it to feel personal and approachable.
Why did you choose the pieces you did?
I chose the pieces I did because I felt like there was a story that I could tell by weaving their common threads together.
How did you choose the color scheme, inspiration for this collection?
The inspiration and color scheme came from the region we live in, but also from the concept of the desert as a magical, mystical place where transformative things can happen.
