Creating an Art Journal with Katie Vernon
Nothing's more intimidating than a blank page! Participants will make their own art journal/sketchbook using painted watercolor paper that they create in class. I'll give my tips and tricks when it comes to art journaling/using a sketchbook. No art experience necessary, but we will be using utility knives to cut paper.

Shawn Skabelund’s art installation, Their Largeness Passes Through Me, is a glimpse into a hidden refuge among charred and fallen pines, the need to recreate and find oneself, and where healing and mending can take place. It is an honoring of the impermanence of life, and that change is inevitable and constantly surrounds us.

This workshop is a printmaking workshop primarily, learning to block print on fabric, each participant will create a beautiful string of prayer flags, created with the intention of love & peace for all beings in your outdoor space. Each participant will be encouraged to create their own symbol for that with the instruction and guidance from Jill Sans.
Join us and enjoy community created art! Celebrate the Flagstaff Regional Planning process and the wonderful artworks it generated. At 7pm, Creative Crate maker Sonja London-Hall will host a short talk about the Creative Crates.
