Dreams Without Borders, an art exhibition and fundraiser running from January 18, 2025 until February 2nd, showcasing the work of renowned artists Amy Martin and Chip Thomas. This thought-provoking exhibition highlights stories of resilience, hope, and the ongoing fight for immigrant rights, with proceeds benefiting Northern Arizona Immigration Legal Services (NAILS).
In a time of escalating deportations—over a quarter-million migrants in 2024 alone—and looming threats under the incoming presidential administration, Dreams Without Borders stands as a testament to solidarity and advocacy. Through the power of art, we aim to shed light on the challenges faced by immigrant communities while fostering dialogue and action.
The exhibition is open to the public during gallery hours, with no admission fee. Visitors are encouraged to explore the compelling narratives woven into each piece and learn how to become allies in the fight for immigrant rights.
Opening Panel Discussion and Fundraiser
To mark the opening of this vital exhibition, join us on January 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. for a special panel discussion featuring artists Amy Martin and Chip Thomas alongside Grace Vaughan, Director of NAILS. Together, they will explore the intersection of art, advocacy, and immigrant resilience. Guests can also pick up Know Your Rights materials, sign the immigrant safety ordinance petition, and learn actionable ways to support the immigrant community.
While this opening event is ticketed, free tickets are available to ensure accessibility for all. Donations are welcomed and will directly support NAILS, a project of the Literacy Center, in providing legal assistance to immigrants facing threats to their safety and stability.
This exhibition and event are proudly supported by Catch Fire Movement and The HeART Box Gallery.
