It’s hard to feel despair when you’re actively making something. Come learn the basics of linocut printmaking! We’ll carve stamps to make postcards to defend democracy, focusing particularly on protecting our national parks. No previous art experience is necessary. This is part of an ongoing series called Make Art Make Justice.
Based in Arizona, Jen Myhre is a community-taught artist working in collage and printmaking. A former sociology teacher and community organizer, Jen co-facilitated Make Art Make Justice workshops for people with little to no art experience for Showing Up for Racial Justice Santa Clara County between 2017 and 2024. Through that work, she learned firsthand how art and creativity is central to relationship building, developing vision and imagination, suffusing joy into our organizing and developing messaging that moves people into action. In 2025, she started More Art Less Fear to turn art from her second shift into her day job.
