It’s holiday season, let’s create a little cheer with paper ornaments. We will explore shapes and create 3D paper ornaments. There will be room for creativity with coloring using markers, stamps, glitter, tassels, poms and more to create fun holiday ornaments. Students must be able to cut out their own shapes with scissors.

We will learn cutting techniques for linoleum and printing final prints on paper at the end. We will explore different shapes for ornaments and play with paper color and ink.

Come relax at the end of your day and paint a mandala. Mandalas are a tool used often in art therapy as a way to focus the mind, bring attention to the present moment. The act of creating allows for us a space of relaxation and allowance, getting into the creative flow. Calming herbal tea provided.

Learn the basics of linocut printmaking from start to finish. We will create a design for relief printing, you can create your own or there will be simple designs to use for those who would prefer. We will learn cutting techniques for linoleum and printing final prints on paper at the end. Each participant will go home with finished carved linoleum block and prints. You get to keep your linoleum block giving you the opportunity to keep printing after the workshop is over. This is a fun technique to learn and you can use this for many reproduction applications.
